This barn, which will be used as a yoga studio with
two massage therapy rooms, has a horizontal goethermal system.
The goethermal will produce radiant floor heating and domestic hot
water.
This building is considered net zero due to the fact that it will
produce more electricity than it uses annually with the help of
a 5kw wind turbine.
The building shell is incredibly resistant to infiltration, thus
requiring less energy to heat the building.
However, we have installed a fresh air exhange system to mechanically
introduce tempered fresh air into the building with the use of an
ERV (energy recovery ventilator). |
